National Deed Service, Inc.

If you receive a letter in the mail from the National Deed Service, Inc. please do not reply.  This letter informs you that a deed document was recorded on your property and that it is on file.  That is all good because it is vital that the deed is recorded.  It also states that the U.S. Government Federal Citizen Information Center website recommends that property owners should have an official or certified copy of their deed.  To obtain this Certified Copy of your Deed, you can complete the form at the bottom of that letter and return it in an enclosed envelope along with a payment of $49.50.

This is not necessary!  A person does not, generally, need to have a certified copy of their deed on hand.  What is important is that the deed is recorded.  If you do need a copy of your recorded deed, CALL ME.  I will get you one and not charge you $49.50.
