Where: Shadow Lake

When: November 23, 6:00 pm

Why: Stop by before the lights go on and listen to The Peppermint Elves put on a concert with jingle bells for all! Santa will arrive at 6:30 pm and the parade will start soon after. Stick around for photos with Santa and his elves, see your favorite storybook characters like the Grinch and get free jingle bells for kids! This lighting ceremony isn’t one you want to miss!

 

Where: Gene Leahy Mall

When: November 24, 6:00 pm

Why: This beautiful ceremony marks the official start of the holiday season in Omaha. Stop by the Gene Leahy Mall Thanksgiving night and see the lights turn on around the mall. Enjoy live music starting at 5:00 pm. Stop by some shops in the Old Market after the lighting ceremony; some stores will open for special Christmas shopping that evening. Even some bars and restaurants will be open to the public!

 

Where: Stinson Park at Aksarben Village

When: November 25, 6:00 pm

Why: The Lights of Aksarben will be officially lit on this day, but that’s not the only reason to stop by. Enjoy free horse and carriage rides, live music, strolling carolers, face painting, coffee, hot cocoa and yummy treats. Bring the entire family and make a holiday-themed evening out of the occasion.

 

Where: Village Pointe

When: November 25, 6:00 pm

Why: Village Pointe will light their Christmas tree in the middle of the shopping center with a festive event. Check out the Santa Parade, a family-friendly concert and free hot cider and cookies provided by Bravo! Make sure your kids know what they want for Christmas; Santa will arrive in a horse-drawn Cinderella carriage after the lighting ceremony.

 

Where: Turner Park at Midtown Crossing

When: November 26 – January 1, 7:00 pm

Why: The Holiday Lights Spectacular proves to be an exciting show for all ages. This choreographed blend of light and holiday music lasts twenty minutes and is full of holiday cheer. Dress warmly and bring a thermos of hot cocoa, or stop by Délice for a yummy treat!

 

Where: Dundee

When: December 1, 5:00 pm

Why: You’ll have a chance to meet with Santa and check out all the businesses that are participating in the event. Stick around for hayrides, cider & carolers, Christmas beer and yummy munchies!
